The Green Room, formerly Kutz Hair Studio, has been established since 2001 and was taken over by Francesca in 2018. Since then, it has grown into a busy, hair-focused salon, all built on experience, creativity, and great client care.
Our relaxed salon offers a welcoming, stylish space where clients can feel comfortable, at home, and well looked after. With 13 hair stations, we’re a busy salon, so we recommend booking in advance, although walk-in appointments may be available when possible.
We believe in a truly client-first approach. That means taking the time to listen to what you want, offering honest advice, and creating results that suit your style, lifestyle, and hair goals. Our team includes Junior Stylists through to our Salon Director, with a range of experience levels and prices to suit everyone.
Our stylists are highly trained and stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. We use only top-quality professional products for all cuts, colour, and styling.
We welcome all styles and offer hair services for ladies, gents, and children. At The Green Room, great hair, and being listened to, is always our priority.
Francesca – salon owner & director
With nearly 20 years of experience in hairdressing, Francesca is the passionate and driven owner behind The Green Room. From the very beginning, she’s been a people person, effortlessly connecting with everyone who walks through her door. If you’re nervous about getting your hair done, Francesca will ensure you have a
relaxed, enjoyable experience, starting with a detailed consultation and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that will immediately put you at ease.
Francesca excels in all areas of hairdressing, with an exceptional eye for hair and colour artistry. As a “blondie” herself, she truly understands the importance of perfecting tones that flatter each individual.
Whether it’s a bold, edgy cut or an outrageous colour transformation, Francesca thrives on challenges and is always ready to create something amazing.
Weddings and adventurous up-dos are a particular passion of hers — she loves perfecting a masterpiece for any special occasion.
Ellie – senior stylist
With nearly 10 years of experience in hairdressing, Ellie has developed a true passion for creating soft, blended balayage that adds depth and dimension to every client’s hair. She thrives on transformation and loves nothing more than achieving a stunning before and after restyle. Whether it’s a subtle change or a bold transformation, Ellie’s expertise ensures you leave feeling refreshed and confident.
Ellie always prioritises the health of your hair, making sure it stays strong, shiny, and nourished while achieving the look you want.
Now a new mum, Ellie works part-time in the salon, balancing her passion for hairdressing with family life. She continues to bring the same care, creativity and attention to detail to every appointment and loves welcoming both new and returning clients to her chair.
jo – senior stylist
With over 20 years of experience, Jo is a true expert in her craft. After spending a decade as Assistant Manager at Flhair of Romsey, she has now joined The Green Room, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge, skill and passion. Following a short break for health reasons, Jo is back, full of energy and ready to create beautiful transformations. She loves all aspects of hairdressing, but says, “you can’t beat a total restyle,” and has a real flair for creative colouring. With Jo’s experience and enthusiasm, you’re in the very best hands.
CHLOE (aka “chloe white”) – senior stylist
present smile and warm, welcoming personality, Chloe instantly puts you at ease in her chair, making every appointment a fun and relaxing experience. Whether you’re after a bold transformation or a subtle refresh, Chloe’s skill and enthusiasm will leave you feeling your very best.
daisy – stylist
Daisy qualified with her NVQ Level 2 in December 2025. She’s been part of The Green Room team since leaving school, starting as a Saturday girl at 14, and has quietly been gaining confidence and experience ever since. Daisy is building a growing number of regular clients and especially enjoys working with longer hair and creating beautiful highlights that suit each client perfectly.
molly – junior stylist
Molly is our junior stylist, currently studying towards her Level 2 qualification. Having been around hairdressing from a young age, she has developed a real passion for the industry and especially enjoys creating beautiful colour work and styling hair for weddings and special occasions.
Molly is friendly, chatty and always eager to learn and develop her skills, making every client feel comfortable and welcome with her warm and bubbly personality.
sophie – junior stylist
karalyn – receptionist (thursday-saturday)
A former hairdresser, Karalyn brings her industry experience and love for the craft to The Green Room as our friendly receptionist. While greeting clients with a warm smile, she enjoys helping the stylists with shampooing and blow-drying, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Always up for a chat and a laugh, Karalyn adds a fun and welcoming vibe to the salon, making every visit a pleasant experience.
Sarah – receptionist (monday-wednesday)
Sarah works at The Green Room from Monday to Wednesday, helping with appointments, welcoming clients, and making teas and coffees. With a background in the fashion industry running her own clothes shop, Sarah brings style, organisation, and a warm, friendly touch to the salon.
hilary (hills) – senior stylist (self-employed)
Hills is a highly qualified senior stylist with a passion for both modern and classic hair techniques for men, women and children of all ages. She specialises in hair loss, wig selection and fittings, offering a compassionate and professional approach to help clients feel their best. Hills is also deeply passionate about
hair extensions and the stunning transformations they can create, especially for those special occasions.
As a self-employed stylist, she brings a creative and initiative-driven approach to every appointment, ensuring each client receives a personalised experience and leaves the salon feeling their absolute best.
tracy – nail technician
With over two decades of experience in the beauty industry, Tracy Ling is a highly skilled and experienced nail technician, known for her precision and attention to detail. Her wealth of expertise in nail care ensures that every client receives top-notch service. Tracy is dedicated to staying ahead of the latest trends and
techniques, consistently delivering high-quality results. Specialising in Shellac, gel polish, and BIAB, she loves experimenting with the latest viral trends, along with stunning art and design, to create unique and beautiful nails for every client.
MoLLY – SALON PUP
Molly is The Green Room’s beloved salon pup! Loved by everyone who visits, she has an uncanny ability to brighten your day with a cuddle and her happy nature. Whether she’s napping on your lap or greeting you with a wagging tail, Molly is always there to bring a little joy to your visit.
Now that Molly’s getting older, she spends more time napping, though you might still hear her bark when a fellow dog walks past!
